VENUE HIRE
The Armidale Teachers’ College is managed and maintained by the NSW Department of Education. The New England Conservatorium of Music is resident in the College, and provides room booking and venue coordination services.
All requests for venue hire should be made to the New England Conservatorium of Music. The Conservatorium will respond in writing to advise availability and confirm bookings.

THE AUDITORIUM
The Auditorium is located on the first floor, and access is via stairs only.
The venue has tiered seating that accommodates 260 people. Additional chairs can be added at the rear as well as on the floor in front of the stage, increasing capacity to 330 people.
The main stage measures 9 x 7 meters. The flat floor space in front of the stage measures 12 x 7.5 meters.
There is a basic fixed lighting rig providing a full white wash over the floor area and stage.
OLD GYMNASIUM
The former College Gymnasium has been converted into a large rehearsal room, measuring 20 x 12 meters. It is located on the ground floor, and is accessed via a small flight of stairs.
The room has access to a Kawai RX1 grand piano, as well as chairs and music stands sufficient for large ensembles. Orchestral percussion may also be available, but must be requested in advance.
BALCONY BAR
Overlooking the city of Armidale, the second floor balcony has some of the most spectacular views in the region, and can be setup as an event space, or for pre- and post-concert receptions.
The Armidale Teachers’ College is not a licenced premises. Hirers must apply for their own event liquor licencing and provide appropriate staff to oversee any supply and / or sale of alcohol.
COLLEGE GARDENS
The Armidale Teachers’ College is set within 3.2 hectares of spectacular gardens, and offers a unique setting for outdoor concerts and events, weddings and photographs set against the backdrop of the College’s heritage façade.
