ARMIDALE YOUTH ORCHESTRAS

Since 1968, Armidale Youth Orchestras have brought together young people from across the region to share their love of music.

Armidale Youth Orchestras offer students aged 8 – 21 years a weekly ensemble program of rehearsals, workshops, and masterclasses.

Guided by specialist music educators and tutors, the program culminates in advanced performance opportunities.

Members join one (or more) of four ensembles:

  • Armidale Youth Orchestra,
  • Armidale Youth String Orchestra,
  • Armidale Youth Wind Ensemble, and
  • Armidale Youth Percussion Ensemble.

The heritage-listed Armidale Teachers’ College is a significant contributor to the identity of the New England region, and is home to many community and cultural organisations.
